Charlotte smiled sadly.
“Tyler, I barely did anything.”
I shook my head.
“That’s not true.”

I pointed toward the photo.
“That night was the first time I felt human again.”
Her eyes filled.
I continued.
“After my parents died, I thought nobody saw me anymore.”
The room became quiet.
