The attorney pointed toward one particular entry.
“Can Mr. Luján explain why company funds were used to purchase properties registered under names connected to government officials?”
Nobody moved.
Nobody breathed.
Even Héctor’s lawyers looked uncomfortable.
Then one of them slowly closed his briefcase.
Another removed his glasses.
A third quietly stepped away from the table.
Héctor noticed.
“What are you doing?”
