Arthur handed him the papers.
“Look at page seventeen.”
The driver scanned the document.
His eyes widened.
“Oh.”
Lena stared between them.
“What does that mean?”
Arthur looked directly at her.
“It means they were greedy.”
“I already know that.”
“No,” Arthur replied. “You don’t understand.”
He tapped the page.
“They didn’t simply steal your apartment.”
“What?”
“They altered a registered contract.”
Lena blinked.
