Somehow, we have managed to turn this extremely ordinary household appliance into a question of personality, lifestyle, tradition, class, technology, and apparently moral character.
At some point, I feel like this stopped being about cooking.
It became part of people’s identities.
And I am still over here thinking:
They both boil the water.

Gas stove people can be very passionate.
They will tell you there is simply nothing like cooking over a flame.
And to be fair, I understand some of the appeal.
