thought I was about to do one of the most straightforward chores imaginable.
Instead, I got a free lawn-care lesson from across the yard.
So now the mower is staying where it is
The rain stopped.
The grass is still wet.
And apparently, that means I’m waiting.
I’m not thrilled about it.
But I’ve learned something.
Sometimes a chore isn’t as simple as it looks.
Sometimes there’s a reason behind a rule that seemed completely unnecessary.
And sometimes the person yelling across the yard isn’t trying to ruin your afternoon.
